About the role:

As Copy Team Lead, you will lead the copywriting team in producing creative collateral for all of Enova’s brands. Serving as both manager and contributor, you will work across channels including SEO, paid search, email, direct mail, social and UX/UI. We’re looking for a first-class writer with a demonstrated history of leading strong teams that deliver impactful work. 

Responsibilities:

  • Author top-notch marketing copy across channels including blogs, SEO pages, PPC, email, direct mail, social, landing pages, UX/UI and internal comms.
  • Manage team of three talented copywriters with a focus on continued growth and skill specialization. 
  • Edit team copy to provide lead-level direction and ensure that all collateral meets A++ standards.
  • Evolve team processes to respond to emerging needs and ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Develop team resources to ensure that all writers are set up for success. 
  • Update copy guides to ensure consistency of tone, voice, and style. 

Requirements:  

  • 8+ years of experience as a copywriter with the business impact (and portfolio) to show for it.
  • Direct experience as a team manager with demonstrated success in strategic leadership, mentorship and team-building skills.
  • Deep knowledge of marketing best practices across a range of channels.
  • Superior writing ability.
  • Experience editing the work of different writers with a knack for elevating everything you touch.
  • An instinct for “operating as an owner” and spearheading new initiatives.
  • The finesse to navigate complex project management.
  • Relationship-building skills to secure buy-in from diverse stakeholders.

Ahrefs, Semrush, Clearscope, ChatGPT, Jasper, WordPress, GSC, Looker Studio, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Hotjar, FullStory, Optimizely, Figma, Google Workspace, RoboHead.
