We’re looking for a People Business Partner (12 month fixed-term) to join our team. You will play a vital role within our People and Culture (P&C) team, delivering people-focused strategies and support to our Sales and Go to Market divisions in the APAC region. As the go-to person for all things related to the employee experience within your client group, you will collaborate with key stakeholders and managers to provide People and Culture services and initiatives that align with the needs and top priorities of our expanding teams. 

In this role you will be partnering closely with managers to provide strategic HR guidance in areas like career development, engagement, succession planning, performance management, and talent reviews. The ideal candidate for this role has previous experience in people business partner roles and the ability to coach in HR-related issues, building solid relationships with various types of personalities and with employees at all levels. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Act as an expert and primary point of contact for all matters related to the employee experience within your client group
  • Collaborate with P&C colleagues, key stakeholders, and managers to provide P&C services and initiatives that align with the evolving needs and priorities of our growing teams
  • Be a trusted advisor and coach to managers, playing a critical role in enhancing their leadership effectiveness within your client groups
  • Partner closely with managers on people-related strategies and offer thought-leadership in areas such as career development, employee engagement, succession planning, compensation, performance management and talent reviews, etc. 
  • Foster solid relationships with managers and employees, offering coaching and mentoring support in HR matters
  • Undertake any additional special projects as needed by client groups or the P&C team

What you need to bring:

We are a team of 13 people located in New Zealand, Australia and the Philippines, managing all aspects of HR for the region. Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, APAC, you will work alongside two other People Business Partners. 

We're looking for a candidate who has experience with the following:

  • Solid experience as a People Business Partner, ideally within the software technology industry
  • Knowledge of New Zealand and Australia legal requirements as well as the ability to operate in a global ecosystem
  • Prior expertise in change management, organisational development, and managerial coaching
  • Ability to quickly build rapport with employees at all levels and with various types of personalities
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a management and employee group that is widely dispersed
  • Previous experience facilitating difficult discussions, offering feedback to employees at all levels, and coaching on related matters
