Office and Student Recruitment Assistant 

Reporting to the Dean of Operations, the Office and Student Recruitment Assistant supports the school leadership team to provide a warm, welcoming and organized environment for current and prospective students. As the first person that people see when they arrive, this person is the face of the school and delivers first-class customer service to families, students, and other visitors. 

This person will also assist the school site operations team on key outreach and engagement activities, such as: providing in-person tours of the campus, answering questions over the phone and via email from prospective students and families, and helping develop marketing materials and social media content.

The ideal candidate believes deeply in our schools, is kind yet persistent, takes initiative, meets deadlines and isn’t afraid to strike up a conversation with someone they just met.

This is a temporary part-time non exempt role.

What You’ll Do:

Engagement

  • Greet visitors at the front desk and create a warm and welcoming environment. 
  • Respond to public inquiries; this includes answering phones and emails, checking voicemails, responding to questions from families and students and assisting faculty with inquiries. 
  • Help develop marketing materials and social media content to advertise our school to prospective students and families.

Front Desk Assistance

  • Ensure the front desk area is clean and organized. 
  • Receive, distribute, and prepare mail and shipments. 
  • Maintain office equipment and ensure that the copier, fax and postage meter are always in working order. 
  • Support with filing and data entry. 
  • Assist School Leaders with additional duties as needed. 

What You Need:

Key Qualities and Skills 

  • Commitment to uphold Summit’s values, belief that all children deserve a rigorous and equitable education that prepares them for college and for life.
  • Prior experience working in middle or high schools is preferred.  
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Google Platforms, including Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Slides. 
  • Clear TB test and background check.
