GYST is a modern assistant service providing experienced, skilled and savvy personal and executive assistants to HNW and UHNW individuals, families and entrepreneurs in NYC. We set our clients free to focus on what matters most. GYST offers accomplished assistants the unique opportunity to be part of a new model which allows assistants to work with a handful of influential, inspirational and prominent clients on an ongoing basis to make up a flexible, 20+ hour work week. ABOUT THIS ROLE

GYST Assistants work with up to four clients to make up a 20+ hour work week. We build our Assistants' client rosters carefully and thoughtfully, with the emphasis on matching Assistants and Clients for the long haul. Because we make sure to get our Client/Assistant matches right the first time, it may take 4-6 weeks to fully build out your roster. This role allows (and requires!) great flexibility and autonomy while still providing support and community. If you are charismatic, proactive, and an excellent problem solver you will love working with GYST Clients, and if you consistently and joyfully provide service worth bragging about, we can’t wait to meet you.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build strong, trusting and lasting relationships with GYST Clients

  • Deliver a high level of proactive, anticipatory service to GYST Clients

  • Bring joy to all segments of the GYST community, including your fellow GYST Assistants, our GYSTlyst vendors and partners, and GYST Clients

  • Manage a wide range of Assistant responsibilities for your roster of GYST Clients including, but not limited to the standard personal and executive assistant scopes, property management, event management, move and renovation support and home organization 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 + years experience assisting a celebrity, high profile individual or family, C-level executive or comparable  

  • 1 year experience assisting from a private residence

  • Commitment to high service level delivery 

  • Flexible work style 
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem solving capacity

  • Detail oriented and thorough

  • Charismatic, polished and professional

  • Resourceful and highly organized

  • Technology savvy

  • Sense of urgency that doesn’t eclipse thoughtfulness

  • Strong familiarity with luxury lifestyle and comfort in HNW environments

  • Clear communicator
  • Team player 

 

BONUS SKILLS:

  • Adobe CS skills
  • Property management and renovation experience

  • Driving, and comfortable driving in Manhattan

  • Hamptons experience
