We are seeking a Sales Manager, Northern Europe who displays strong characteristics of AIP Publishing’s cultural principles: Progressive; Researcher-Focused; Experimental; Equitable; Authentic; Action-Oriented; and Collaborative to play a pivotal role in maintaining and expanding AIP Publishing’s revenue base by introducing new products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieving sales quotas by renewing subscription products, and selling additional products and services, to AIPP customers
  • Successfully collaborating with marketing staff to promote AIP Publishing products and services and generate sales leads
  • Drive sales growth by securing AIP Publishing’s customer base via the renewal of existing accounts, and/or adding new products and services
  • Work in concert with members of the Sales and Marketing teams to formulate and execute sales strategy for the assigned territory
  • Maintain relationships with relevant decision makers for assigned territory and effectively sell products and services that meet the needs of institutions
  • Attend and participate in trade shows and conferences and conduct regular video and on-site visits to market, promote, and sell AIP Publishing products and services
  • Work closely with marketing staff to ensure customers and prospects are well-informed about AIP Publishing’s products and services
  • Understand the competitive marketplace and identify opportunities that differentiate AIP Publishing offerings from its competitors’

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Five year’s relevant experience in a sales / marketing environment
  • Familiarity with STEM publishing environment required
  • Ability and willingness to travel in North America and Europe
  • Proven track record of successful key account management
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to make persuasive product presentations adapted to different buyer requirements
  • Ability to read and converse in language(s) spoken in assigned territory is highly desirable

Additional details:

$70,000 – $90,000

Salary within the above posted range is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience.
