Position Overview

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the General Ledger Accountant’s primary job responsibilities will include:

  • Record cash entries and prepare bank reconciliations
  • Record monthly accruals
  • Work with payroll to record monthly benefits entries.
  • Record fixed asset purchases to the subledger for the parent company and subsidiaries.
  • Prepare intercompany eliminations.
  • Maintain and prepare recurring journal entries for multiple entities.
  • Prepare account reconciliations for assigned areas.
  • Assist with audit requests during quarterly and annual audits.
  • Perform quarterly financial statement flux analysis.
  • Work with other departments to obtain necessary information to create monthly/quarterly accruals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • CPA preferred 
  • Previous work experience in software/hardware industry preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Preferred previous work experience in a public company environment subject to SOX.
  • Should be well-versed in GAAP accounting.
