Security Guard

Alarm.com is seeking a security guard with 10+ years of prior law enforcement or military experience. In this position, you will be responsible for monitoring access, patrolling the property, responding to alarms/emergencies, and circulating among employees and visitors to maintain the safety of the workplace.  

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of premises.
• Patrol designated property to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances to handle emergencies promptly.
• Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect the office.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and alarms systems.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Assist Facilities team as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 5+ years armed security guard experience.
• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Required prior law enforcement or military experience.
• Active Shooter and Conflict Resolution Certifications.
• Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
• Proficient in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights and holidays as needed.
