Payer Strategic Relationship Executive

As a Payer Relationship Executive, you will lead Alma’s partnerships with health insurance companies. This role involves cultivating and nurturing strong relationships with our payer partners, proactively identifying new opportunities and leading initiatives to support collaboration and growth for Alma’s payer partners and Alma’s business.  You will also work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Data, and Operations to explore and develop new product and service offering to deliver value to payers.  You will act as a bridge between our services and payers mission to improve access to high-value behavioral health.

What you’ll do:

  • Serve as the strategic relationship owner for assigned payer accounts, building and maintaining strong relationships, and acting as a trusted partner.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders within payer organization including leaders, decision-makers and influencers. 
  • Develop and execute strategic payer relationship plans to define mutual relationships objectives and acheive those objectives. 
  • Understand the unique needs and goals of each payer, aligning our solutions to their objectives, and fostering a collaborative partnership.
  • Identify potential opportunities to add value for our payer partners, finding creative solutions to support our payer partners, their client and their business in ways that are aligned with Alma’s goals and objectives. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify strategic partnership and expansion opportunities within existing payer relationships, contributing to overall company growth.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and market developments to inform strategic partnerships planning and positioning.

Who you are:

  • You have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport and fostering meaningful connections with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • You have a proven 4-6 year track record in account management within the healthcare, insurance sector.
  • You have strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.
  • You have a results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving revenue growth and achieving targets.
  • You have the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • You are a creative thinker able to identify opportunities and use analytical skills to drive solutions. 
  • You thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment, remain flexible in the face of change, and demonstrate resilience when navigating challenges.

Salary Band: $140,000-$160,000
