This position is responsible for developing and implementing corporate communication and employee branding strategies for all relevant social media platforms. From content, to campaigns, to reputation management, and online engagement, this person will create and support all things corporate branding. The ideal candidate will create social media content to help build and drive our corporate brand, generate organic engagement, and grow our online community.

Working with colleagues across the company, the Communication and Social Media Specialist must have a finger on the pulse of what is happening internally and across social platforms on a day-to-day basis. The right person will be passionate about figuring out what works and consequently create, refine, enhance, and deliver messaging internally as well as to the public and media.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Write, edit, and proofread communication meant for internal and external use, including but not limited to press releases, media kits, internal communication, web content, social content, etc.
  • Execute reputation management strategies on various social media platforms.
  • Daily social media monitoring and engagement, answer questions, and comments from users
  • Execute social media and editorial calendars.
  • Create, plan, schedule, publish, and analyze content releases across multiple platforms in accordance with our calendars.
  • Monitor online sentiment with social listening, and report on any trends or insights.
  • Create organic and engaging content, source images, and write compelling copy for social media and corporate use.
  • Help create and maintain corporate blog.
  • Review content submitted by various departments.
  • Coordinate and brainstorm corporate merch.
  • Brainstorm and execute social media strategy through competitive research, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing
  • 2+ years experience in media, social media, public relations, communications, marketing, or a related field
  • Superior writing/editing in French and strong writing/editing in English
  • Creative visual and verbal storyteller
  • Understanding of industry trends and today's creative landscape; how users engage with content, marketing trends, etc.
  • Understanding of typography, design, composition, color, layout, and content strategy, with the ability to bring brands to life.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication with cross functional teams to identify opportunities, improvements, and objectives.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proven strong problem-solving skills
