The Senior financial analyst plays a key role in the Company’s financial operations by providing in-depth analysis to support decision making and forecasting as well as being as a subject matter expert in budgeting and forecasting processes for the Company’s various business units and/or cost centers. Working collaboratively with various departments, the chosen candidate is analytical and resourceful.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Guide and support the preparation and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and results on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Analyze financial performance of various business units, summarize and effectively communicate findings in various visual formats and presentations.
  • Develop dashboards and other analytical tools that allow for real-time monitoring of performance and support decision making and forecasting.
  • Subject matter expert in FP&A processes and data tools within the finance team and drive improvements on financial processes; challenge the status quo.
  • Participate in the analysis of data to detect trends and extrapolate impacts.
  • Design and establish budgeting/forecasting processes and procedures that ensure proper data collection, analysis, and forecasting.
  • Regularly engage with counterparts and stakeholders to be updated on business activities and initiatives.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives, ensuring process changes are appropriately implemented, documented, and communicated.
  • Support the Accounting and Finance team for month-end close as required.
  • Provide support as required for ad-hoc projects.

What you’ll need to be successful:

Must Haves:

  • Recognized professional designation (CPA, CFA).
  • 5+ years of experience of related work experience
  • Prior experience in in-depth financial analysis and management/executive reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and build relationships with people at all levels.
  • Excellent time management and ability to work concurrently on multiple priorities.
  • Analytical mind and attention to detail; comfortable working with large data sets while still being able to extract key insights.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of PowerBi, Looker and other analytic tools

Nice to Haves:

  • Knowledge of SQL considered an asset.
