What you'll be doing:
- Develop new user-facing features
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
- Utilize a variety of markup languages to write web pages
- Maintain code consistency throughout the entire project
- Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability
What you'll need to be successful:
Must haves:
- 3+ years of proven work experience as a senior front-end developer, Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering an asset
- Expert proficiency with HTML & SCSS
- Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery
- Experience in building large and modular codebases
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
- Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (GIT)
- Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, minify assets. Familiarity with tools such as Photoshop and Figma is a plus
- Knowledge of SEO principles and ensuring that the application will adhere to them
- Knowledge of PHP language to be able to integrate the layout into the platform
- Experience in an Agile environment using Scrum methodologies an asset
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organization and communication skills (English is required)
