About the Job:

As a UX/UI Designer, you'll use your strong user-centered design skills to craft modern, elegant, intuitive digital experiences for our financial services clients in banking, capital markets and wealth.

What You’ll Get to Do:   

  • Collaborate with small, agile, multidisciplinary teams on client projects to create user-centered experiences across both internal and external systems such as loan application systems, consumer banking platforms, and more
  • Conduct generative user research to identify and define target customer segments and personas using qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Support conceptualization of new digital experiences by creating prototypes at all levels of fidelity
  • Support experience definition by creating customer journey maps, user flow diagrams, information architecture models, wireframes, and other similar early-stage deliverables
  • Support client workshops, during which your team will seek input from the client concerning user experience concepts, and clarify experiential requirements
  • Create high-fidelity UI designs and work closely with development teams and client stakeholders to ensure clear communication of intent around interaction and accessibility specifications
  • Perform UX writing as necessary to optimize the usability of your experience designs
  • Create and manage smart, extensible Design Systems that extend clients’ brand playbooks into digital channels and can support complex digital ecosystems
  • Conduct moderated and unmoderated usability testing to ensure enthusiastic adoption by your intended end users
  • Travel as necessary to visit our clients and their customers

What You’ll Bring with You: 

  • 5+ years of UX design experience producing engaging, usable, and effective design solutions using user-centric principles
  • A portfolio of work representing your experience and talent
  • Excellent visual design aesthetic and skill with a meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of UX and interaction design principles across responsive web and native mobile experiences
  • General understanding of Agile software delivery methodologies and practices
  • Self-supplied curiosity and passion to learn about new technologies and UX/design trends
  • High level of proficiency with UX and UI design tools (e.g. Figma, Framer, Sketch, Adobe CS, Mural/Miro and other similar design, prototyping and collaboration tools)
  • Understanding of how to design accessible experiences (conforming to WCAG/Section 508)
  • Experience planning and conducting user research activities using qualitative and quantitative methods including user interviews, heuristics, contextual enquiries and surveys
  • Ability to quickly synthesize and draw actionable insights from research activities, using methods such as persona and scenario development, journey mapping and service blueprinting
  • Strong functional analysis skills and understanding of how UX drives business outcomes
  • Willingness to own and be accountable for the delivery of project work
  • Ability to author compelling presentations that tell a story
  • Strong communication and consulting skills with the ability to clearly articulate your design decisions, build strong relationships with your primary client stakeholders and guide their thinking to drive better overall outcomes
  • Familiarity with Financial Services or front-end development frameworks is a big plus
