Currently, we are looking for Senior Backend Engineer (Java or Kotlin) with AWS experience and capital markets passion to extend our Engineering Team!

 

What does Engineering at Capco look like?

  • You will work on engaging projects with some of the largest banks in the world, on projects that will transform the financial services industry.
  • You’ll be part of a digital engineering team that develop new and enhance existing financial and data solutions, having the opportunity to work on exciting greenfield projects as well as on established Tier1 bank applications adopted by millions of users.
  • You’ll be involved in digital and data transformation processes through a continuous delivery model.

A day in the life of a Engineer at Capco

  • Working alongside clients to interpret requirements and define industry-leading solutions.
  • Demonstrating and helping clients adhere to best practices in engineering and SDLC.
  • Building event-driven, loosely coupled distributed applications.
  • Developing both on-premise and cloud-based solutions.
  • Supporting internal Capco capabilities by sharing insight, experience and credentials.

  • You work in the Wealth Tribe on creating and improving our next generation Wealth Management platform with the aim of enabling everyone, regardless of age, location or financial situation to use digital wealth services
  • You are part of one of our highly motivated teams of software engineers and academics implementing change in the financial industry
  • You are always striving for more efficient architecture and smart automation to make build, deploy and operation of software as smooth as possible

SKILLS & EXPERIENCES YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE

 

  • A university degree in a relevant field of study (e.g. computer science, engineering, sciences) or a comparable qualification
  • Experience in backend engineering: Java or Kotlin, AWS & Infrastructure as a Code (e.g. Terraform)
  • Experience in modern software development processes (e.g. agile and self-sufficient teams, continuous integration and deployment, test automation)
  • A passion for automating and improving processes
  • Strong analytical thinking, both in the technical and in the product domain
  • Excellent communication skills that are clear, concise, and targeted towards your audience - engineering, product or other stakeholders
