ROLE OVERVIEW

This role offers the chance to lead a team to advise and deliver change projects as part of a long-term strategic partnership with one of the leading financial institutions in the world.

The objective of the project is to implement a new Data Management policy for our client in Asia Pacific, in order to mitigate data risks. We are looking for experienced managers to lead a team of Business Analysts and Data Analysts to help in the implementation of Data Controls in a scalable agile delivery model.

THE PREFERRED CANDIDATE WILL BE: 

  • Be a self-motivator working in a team of Capco and client colleagues
  • Be leading a team to deliver the implementation of the new Data Management policy
  • Be hosting governance calls to report progress of the implementation to senior stakeholders
  • Work closely with stakeholders (both technical and non-technical) to perceive new, better ways of working, resolve any risk or blockers
  • Recommend areas for change and then provide support to the business as the changes develop to ensure continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with all parts of the Banking and Capital Markets businesses including Front, Middle and Back Office functions
  • Work closely with business partners, analyse and validate data, prioritize requirements, and provide optimal solutions.
  • Manage project governance and delivery, conduct meetings, provide regular reports, and handle production issues.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience working within Financial Services and Banking as a project manager/team lead
  • Knowledge and experience in Data Management/Data Controls/ Metadata documentation and Data related transformation
  • Proven ability and track record in leading a team to produced desired outcomes for data related projects, preferably in an Agile project management disciple
  • Proven ability to come up with identify Risk and Issue, come up with solution and drive mitigation actions
  • Proven stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, the ability to run effective workshops, the ability to host governance forums
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation - the ability to critically evaluate information gathered across multiple sources, reconcile variances, and recommend proposals to clients
  • Proven ability to produce structured functional documentation
  • Excellent Communication and Stakeholder Management Skills as well as possess technical expertise in Python and SQL - the ability to communicate to a variety of audiences across business function and level and tailor messages appropriately
  • Strong academic record coupled with good problem-solving skills and an analytical mind-set
  • Knowledgeable in navigates IRRS requirements. Knowledge of Tax domain, Direct/Indirect Tax Change will be an advantage.
