Engineering Lead - Finance and Treasury

The Team:

You will build out our next generation financial resource management and reporting platform. This includes treasury management, business line and firm level profitability, inventory attribution, resource optimization, collateral management and performance measurement tools.

We employ a wide variety of technologies including Java/Spring Boot (for our service mesh), React (front-end), python for ETL/Analytics and statistical modeling respectively. Clear Street Engineering provides a modern developer experience for engineers, including excellent CI/CD tooling and a managed k8s environment.

You Will:

• Build back end services that power finance and treasury functions
• Work closely with the business lines and finance to understand requirements and rapidly iterate
• Work with your counterparts in front-end engineering to develop intuitive reporting and analytics products
• Own your systems end-to-end, including support and ongoing improvements
• Develop a deep understanding of the business domain

Skills We’re Looking For:

• You have 8+ years of experience building microservices in Java/Spring Boot
• Understanding of finance and treasury functions at a broker/dealer
• Have practical experience with relational databases like Postgres
• Hands on experience working with Kafka 
• Understanding of distributed systems architecture
• Understanding of multi-threading and concurrency
• Understanding of Docker and container orchestration
• Experience with AWS / Cloud native tooling

Bonus Points:

• Experience in the Securities Finance domain
• Spring Security, Oauth, RBAC integration
• Prior experience going from zero to one (building and rolling out a new product)
• Contract-first development

The Senior Level Base Salary Range is $170,000 - $240,000. These ranges are representative of the starting base salaries for this role at Clear Street. Which range a candidate fits into and where a candidate falls in the range will be based on job related factors such as relevant experience, skills, and location. These ranges represent Base Salary only, which is just one element of Clear Street's total compensation. The ranges stated do not include other factors of total compensation such as bonuses or equity.
