The Team: 

As our Facilities Manager, you will work closely with executive leadership and the People Operations team to create and maintain a warm and inclusive office environment at our main location in downtown Manhattan, while also having an opportunity to define a consistent workplace experience across our satellite offices in San Diego, Tampa, West Palm Beach, and Chicago. This role will have direct supervision of one member of the Facilities team and requires you to be onsite five days a week to ensure that we have coverage.

You Will:

  • Ensure that employees and guests arrive to a professional atmosphere at all times; maintain an active presence at reception throughout the day.
  • Develop facilities strategies that enhance the user experience in Clear Street offices while maintaining cost effectiveness.
  • Oversee all Clear Street facilities including our 4 World Trade Center headquarters as well as remote coworking and direct lease facilities.
  • Create a coworking and hybrid strategy to ensure that Clear Street staff have a good working experience regardless of location.
  • Gather metrics regarding space utilization, forecasted needs, costs and staff sentiment regarding the office experience.
  • Partner with IT, the People Team, executive assistants and others to ensure conference rooms are set up appropriately for visitors and that the right set up is available (technology, seating etc); maintain professional appearance of conference rooms throughout the day.
  • Streamline the use of office management tools by Clear Street staff to reduce contention for shared resources and better understand how our facilities are being used.
  • Manage any required build outs, remodels, facilities-related equipment purchases, and services required in Clear Street offices.
  • Oversee the office management team at Clear Street. This includes managing our cafeteria, office products, and other consumables in our facilities as well as cleaning and periodic maintenance actions.
  • Have an opportunity to grow the facilities management function in a fast growing tech company. You will have exposure to new and interesting problems and be supported by senior leadership in your role.
  • Measure Clear Street facilities’ environmental impact and explore ways to make our spaces more environmentally sustainable
  • Work with senior leadership to optimize team placement, manage growth in individual teams, and ensure facilities and office related team needs are met.
  • Manage supply ordering to maintain supplies in our kitchen as well as handle ordering weekly company lunches and food/beverage orders for internal company events like town halls.

 Requirements:

  • You have at least seven (7) years of experience in a facilities, corporate services and/or office management role at a corporate office of at least 250 professional employees.
  • You've managed office operations and delivered a high level of client service in an employee-centric environment.
  • You have experience managing a small team as well as have managed external vendors and their staff.
  • You pride yourself on your ability to organize, prioritize, and problem solve while having a keen eye for detail and that attention to detail is what matters to you. 
  • You have experience partnering with other cross functional teams to plan, organize and execute small office events as well as larger company functions; teamwork is important to you.
  • You are financially resourceful and can figure out ways to maximize budgets and negotiate with service providers to produce a win-win outcome.
  • You're an exceptional communicator regardless of the medium; you can handle the easy situations and the stressful ones.
  • You are creative and enjoy ideating on ways to improve the experience of life in the office.
  • You excel when working independently; you manage your time intelligently and prioritize your work effortlessly. 
  • You are proficient in MS Office Suite Applications, Dropbox, and Google Workspace.

We Offer: 

The Base Salary Range for this role is $110,000 - $130,000. This range is representative of the starting base salaries for this role at Clear Street. Where a candidate falls in this range will be based on job related factors such as relevant experience, skills, and location. This range represents Base Salary only, which is just one element of Clear Street's total compensation. The range stated does not include other factors of total compensation such as bonuses or equity.
