We invest in our people and believe in hiring for high-potential and humble individuals who can rapidly grow their responsibilities as the company scales. Datavant is a distributed, remote-first team, and we empower Datavanters to shape their working environment in a way that suits their needs.

Datavant is fast-paced, product-driven, and focused on challenging the status quo. But cultures are defined on how they are different, not how they are the same, and we encourage you to read about the Datavant Way here.

The role

As the team lead for our Payer Product Success team. This role leads the effort to ensure Datavant’s payer clients (customers, partners, and prospects) receive the highest value out of their interactions with Datavant. The team’s interactions encompass the whole customer lifecycle, from serving as a subject matter expert as part of the sales process to exceptional execution and delivery of our identified product.  Your role will include taking on the product success team members as direct reports. You are responsible for the resourcing, growth, and team operations. You will also take on client projects and deliver exceptional customer experience. Your goal is to make the Product Success team delivers on their ambitious OKRs and core business commitments.

Below are some examples of what you can expect to focus on:

  • Support the velocity and performance of our team: Day-to-day you think about how to empower and accelerate your team. You think about what resources they need, what they have, and you are the number one champion for the team’s needs and interdependencies.
  • Quantify performance by creating a metrics-driven approach to how your products are performing, time to resolve issues, and more. Some examples include:
  • Build and refine processes and tools to enable the access and flow of critical information: You will leverage Asana and other tools to make sure your team has the right information at the right time and the stakeholders that depend on this team have the information they need. You are thinking about how to invest and improve in the team’s playbook. You’re thinking about how we can constantly raise the bar as we scale this team’s impact.
  • Have a deep understanding of our product and the use cases we power. We want someone equipped to jump in the deep end, understanding the product, it’s evolution, and the use cases it powers.
  • Hands-on by leading high-impact efforts and being highly responsive to delivery. You will manage the team but also take on projects yourself. When there are issues or obstacles, you are in the weeds with the team helping with complex problem solving. You effectively support clients throughout the implementation process and beyond. You ensure successful client onboarding as soon as a deal is signed and overall high client satisfaction, technically set up the clients technically and understand the client’s systems and workflows. You provide exceptional client service and support, constantly considering ways we could better serve clients through new features, use cases, and products.
  • Identify opportunities to better serve clients, both now and in the future. You seek to standardize work wherever possible, including but not limited to the creation, adherence to, and updating of playbooks. You proactively communicate with the Product team to identify client “custom requests” that are the seeds of a valuable new feature, use case, or product. You ensure excellent client documentation to prevent drop-offs when clients are transitioned from one owner to another. You work with sales partners to ensure that handoffs between teams
  • Create more leverage for the Product Success team. You look for efficiencies to enable each member of the team to be as high leverage as possible. You proactively communicate with the Product team to identify opportunities for automation of existing processes.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
