As a Senior Manager, Student Support you will conduct regular site visits to provide feedback to regional student support teams and share insights with other parts of the organization on areas of need. You will use this information to help inform key decisions and strategies on training, development, and operational functions around the country. You will supervise regional Inclusion Specialists and Social Work Specialists, as well as provide strategic support to regional leaders and National Support Team member projects. This includes regular collaboration with cross-functional teams and organizational leaders to develop and maintain a high-quality educational program that aligns with our mission and vision.

You will work closely with the district and national support team members to develop and execute a local strategy for student support.  You will develop and deliver high quality adult learning experiences for teachers and leaders. You will develop meaningful partnerships with local educational agencies to support children with developmental delays or disabilities. You will be a resource to caregivers, developing strong community, school, and family connections. You will partner closely with national leaders and regional teams to implement instructional priorities. You possess strong leadership, communication, and expertise in running projects that impact student outcomes. You bring prior experience leading programs, projects, or initiatives across an entire system or network of schools. You demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills and have deep knowledge of project management, data collection, and an interest in launching professional development practices. Above all, you share our passion for expanding access to high-quality preschools in underserved communities and are excited to shape our organization’s approach to engaging with equitable and effective policies as we scale to hundreds of schools nationwide.

 

LOCATION

  • Florida within a drivable distance of an operating Bezos Academy preschool (please see our website for school locations)
  • Relocation support is available for candidates willing to relocate to Orlando, FL, or within driving distance of our other schools in South Florida

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, exempt (salaried) position.
  • The full salary range for this position in Florida is $111,000 – $184,000 per year. The upper third of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. Starting salary will vary by qualifications and prior experience.
  • This role includes 15 paid days of vacation, 4 days of paid personal time off, 7 paid days of sick (care) time, 9 paid holidays, 5 paid days off for an organization-wide winter break, and additional time off if required by applicable law. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Eight or more years of relevant experience, including three or more recent years of special education experience from infancy through sixth grade
  • Two or more years of people management and/or team leadership experience including hiring, performance management, and evaluation
  • Deep expertise developing, writing, and monitoring the progress of student individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Demonstrated personal commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and experience working across lines of difference
  • Demonstrated skill in collaborating with families, the community, school staff, school leadership, and others to build trusting relationships and partnerships
  • Valid state driver’s license, clean motor vehicle records, personal auto insurance (at least minimum coverage under applicable law), and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Willingness to travel regionally to assigned school sites up to 35%, including occasional national travel
  • Ability to meet all additional training and eligibility requirements of the state, including clearing background checks, tuberculosis tests, and so on, with required documentation eligibility and training completion submitted through the state’s respective child care or educational regulatory agency prior to start of employment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced degree in a related field
  • Experience supporting school/district strategic and operational planning
  • Experience coaching adult learners
  • Knowledge of and alignment with Montessori principles and overall approach
  • Experience designing and leading professional development for adults
