 We are currently seeking a Product Control Lead to focus on the valuation of all energy commodity products including independent verification of physical deal valuation and assisting with the ongoing development of product control analysis tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently verify pricing models and inputs to those pricing models and present the results of that analysis to the valuation committee.
  • Document all valuation processes
  • Work with risk and global trade management to provide verified valuation and associated data.
  • Participate in the development of a database of historical data used to create prices, volatilities, and correlations
  • Identify the assumptions within each model and test the sensitivities to those assumptions where the input data may not be observable
  • Work with trading desk analysts on new deals to verify pricing models and sources of associated data
  • Manage daily and intraday pricing and ensure all deals are priced
  • Work closely with software engineers to provide pricing verification system specifications

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience valuing natural gas and electricity products, for both exchange traded and bilateral deals
  • Must have a strong quantitative background and strong data analysis skills
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Python, R, Matlab, or other data analysis tools
  • Able to question assumptions and work with other groups to find optimal solutions
  • Sound judgement and strong analytical skills
  • Must be proactive and able to work independently
