Flow Traders is seeking an Experienced Energy Trader to join our expanding commodity trading desk in our Amsterdam office. The ideal candidate should possess extensive knowledge in energy trading, coupled with a passion for the commodity markets. You need to able to build out the current energy desk and expend the trading volume. What You Will Do
- Formulate quantitative and automated trading strategies in the European energy market
- Manage and optimize your trading positions together with your team
- Focus on technical improvements on the desk while also automating various daily processes
- Ensure essential information is captured accurately
- Identify new opportunities and products that align with Flow Traders growth strategy
- Being able to manage your strategy around macro economic news events
What You Need To Succeed

Proven experience in creating new strategies and able to demonstrate his experience in the European energy market

Ability to implement the strategy into algorithms in combination with the execution of the trading platform

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

Experience with power trading is a strong plus

University Degree, preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Engineering, Finance, or related

Excellent mental arithmetic and analytical skills

Competitive, entrepreneurial and able to deliver under pressure

Distinct ability to spot arising opportunities and the assertiveness to seize them
