GO Residency in partnership with AmeriCorps

At the GO Foundation, we believe that great teachers are homegrown. This is why we offer a pathway to receiving a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) to AmeriCorps members at our schools and sites.

The GO Residency is a site-based embedded teaching apprenticeship that provides participants a pathway to classroom teaching at one of our designated schools or sites. After acceptance into the GO Residency, participants apply and are enrolled in an MAT program through one of our graduate school partners. Residents complete their coursework over 1-2 school years while engaging in a gradual release method into classroom instruction alongside a Mentor Teacher. In addition, Residents receive specialized training, support, and leadership development from the GO Foundation.

We are seeking applicants who express an enthusiasm for advancing student learning, demonstrate a desire to continuously learn and grow, and are committed to the education of all students.

Please note, you must complete the application in its entirety; there is no option to save as you go. Be sure to reread your responses before your click submit. Note that responses will be shared with members of the Teacher Residency selection team at the GO Foundation and school site.
