지난 2021년부터 크래프톤은 우리가 가진 게임 제작역량을 새롭게 확장할 수 있는 영역이자 새로운 도전을 지속할 분야로 딥러닝을 제시하고 해당 분야 연구에 집중하고 있으며, 본격화를 위하여 핵심 인재 영입 등 적극적인 투자를 진행하고 있습니다.

[Deep Learning 본부 비전]

크래프톤 Deep Learning 본부는 사내외 여러 분야와 협업하여 다양한 문제에 대한 AI 솔루션을 제공하며, 자체 딥러닝 연구를 통해 우리만의 서비스를 개발합니다. 그 방향성은 크게 네 가지입니다.

• Production Cost Down : 게임 제작에 수반되는 많은 공정들에 딥러닝 기술을 투입하여 제작 과정을 단축하고, 게임 제작자들의 업무 경험을 혁신합니다.
• New Way to Create : 생성형 AI를 포함한 다양한 딥러닝 기술들로 게임 제작 전반에 걸쳐 창작자들의 크리에이티브를 확장합니다.
• Virtual Friends : 딥러닝 기술 기반 Virtual Friend를 개발하고 이를 게임 내/외 다양한 어플리케이션으로 적용합니다.
• Unique, Endless Gameplay : 딥러닝 기술을 통하여 유저들에게 매번 다른 경험을 선사하여 한계 없이 즐길 수 있는 게임 컨텐츠를 제공합니다.

[R&D]

Deep Learning 본부에서는 위 비전에 필요한Language Model, Voice Synthesis, Vision & Animation, Reinforcement Learning, Data-centric AI 등의 딥러닝 기술을 연구 개발 중입니다.
또한, 이를 효과적으로 아우를 수 있는 초거대모델/경량화모델 연구 및 각각의 요소 기술들을 자유롭게 조합하는 Multimodal 모델 연구도 진행하고 있습니다. 이러한 기술들을 실제 게임 제작 환경에 통합하여, 게임 제작 업무 경험을 혁신하고 크리에이티브를 확장합니다.

Since 2021, Krafton has identified deep learning as an area where we can expand our game development capabilities and continue new challenges. We have been focusing on research in the field and actively investing to kickstart this initiative, including the recruitment of key talent.

[Deep Learning Division’s vision]

The Deep Learning Division at Krafton collaborates with various internal and external parties to provide AI solutions for a wide range of problems and develops our own services through in-house deep learning research. Our direction is broadly divided into four categories:

• Production Cost Down : By applying deep learning technology to many processes involved in game development, we shorten the production process and innovate the work experience of game developers.
• New Way to Create : We expand the creativity of creators across all aspects of game development with various deep learning technologies, including generative AI.
• Virtual Friends : We develop virtual friends based on deep learning technology and apply them to various applications both inside and outside our games.
• Unique, Endless Gameplay : Through deep learning technology, we provide game content that offers users different experiences each time, allowing for endless enjoyment.

[R&D]

The Deep Learning Division is currently researching and developing deep learning technologies necessary for our vision, including language model, voice synthesis, vision & animation, reinforcement learning, and data-centric AI. We are also searching mega models/lightweight models that can effectively encompass these technologies and multimodal models that allow for the flexible integration of various component technologies. By integrating these technologies into the actual game development environment, we innovate the game development work experience and expand creativity.

Members of the Deep Learning Division can offer creative ideas for various problems through collaboration and interaction with team members from different fields across various projects. KRAFTON AI 에서는 딥러닝 기반 서비스의 개발 및 운영을 주도할 프로젝트 매니저를 찾고 있습니다. 딥러닝 프로젝트를 주도하는 데 열정이 있고, 복잡한 개발 주기를 효율적으로 관리하는 능력이 있으며, 다양한 팀 간 효과적인 커뮤니케이션을 촉진할 수 있는 능력을 갖춘 분을 찾습니다.

• 게임 내 딥러닝 기능 개발/운영 주기 내에서의 일정 및 전달물 관련한 커뮤니케이션 담당
• 게임 제작 부서와 요구사항을 정리하고 실현 가능한 일정을 제시
• 기능 개발 관련 다양한 이해관계자들의 의견을 조율하고 우선순위를 설정하여 프로젝트의 목표를 달성

• 딥러닝 기능의 게임 integration 이후, 운영 및 업데이트를 위한 VoC 대응 프로세스 준비 및 실행

KRAFTON AI is seeking a Project Manager to lead the development and operation of deep learning-based services. We are looking for individuals passionate about driving deep learning projects, capable of efficiently managing complex development cycles, and facilitating effective communication across diverse teams.

• Manage communication related to schedules and deliverables within the deep learning feature development/operation cycle
• Coordinate feature requirements with game developement studios and organize a feasible timeline
• Facilitate the alignment of various stakeholders' opinions and set priorities to achieve project objectives
• Host necessary meetings for feature development, and also organize and allocate tasks to relevant parties
• Produce various documents required throughout the feature development process
• Prepare and execute the process for VoC response for post-integration operation and updates

• 3년 이상의 게임 산업 종사자 혹은 관련 직군과 협업해 온 경험
• PUBG 를 포함하여 좋아하는 게임을 여러 종류에 걸쳐 오래 플레이 해본 경험
• 컴퓨터 과학, 통계학 혹은 기술 관련 경력을 기반으로 기획자, 개발자, 연구자 등 다양한 기술 직군과 협업한 경험
• 새로운 기술을 익히는 것을 좋아하고 잘 이해하여 명확하게 파악 및 설명할 수 있는 분
• 개발 및 운영 과정에서 발생할 수 있는 리스크를 식별하고, 이에 대한 선제적 대응책을 마련하여 실행한 경험
• 예상치 못한 문제가 발생했을 때 적극적으로 해결책을 모색하고, 스트레스 상황에서도 빠르게 회복하는 분
• 결과물의 품질 유지를 위한 철학이 있고 이를 지킬 수 있는 분
• 업무 커뮤니케이션을 위한 한국어 및 영어 능력

• At least 3 years of experience in either working in or collaborating with professionals from the gaming industry
• Experience playing many kinds of games in your preference, including PUBG, for a long time
• A background in computer science, statistics, or a related field
• Experience collaborating with professionals from various technical fields such as service designers, developers, and researchers
• An inclination for learning new technologies, with the ability to understand and clearly describe complex technical issues
• Experience identifying risks in the development and operation process and implementing proactive steps
• The ability to proactively find solutions to unexpected problems and quickly recover from stress situations
• A commitment to maintaining the quality of outcomes and the ability to uphold this standard
• Proficiency in Korean and English for business communication

• 딥러닝 기술을 게임에 접목하여 게임의 출시 또는 업데이트에 참여한 경험
• PUBG 를 포함하여 좋아하는 단일 게임 플레이 타임이 1,000시간 이상인 분
• 기획서, 스펙시트, 매뉴얼 등의 문서를 직접 작성하고 표준화하여 프로젝트에 활용한 경험
• 복잡한 문제를 해결하고 마무리하는 데에 보람을 느끼시는 분
• Jira, Confluence 를 통한 업무 관리 경험
• 한국어 및 영어 능통자

• Experience participating in a launch or an update of a game by integrating deep learning
• More than 1000 hours of playing hours for a single game including PUBG
• Proven ability to create, standardize, and utilize documents such as project plans, spec sheets, and manuals
• A sense of fulfillment in solving complex problems and bringing them to the finish line
• Experience managing tasks with Jira and Confluence
• Fluency in Korean and English
