Our Amsterdam Office is KRAFTON’s EMEA Headquarters which covers the Europe, Middle East & Africa, and the CIS regions, with teams dedicated to Publishing, Esports, Content, Communications and General Operations. These teams support all local offices and development studios in our region.

Onsite, our Amsterdam Office also houses PUBG Studios which is busy with the development of an exciting new IP, currently known as Project “Black Budget”.


As the IT Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all IT infrastructure and support for the Amsterdam office, as well as our smaller locations in Prague and Portugal. You will be the main point of contact for our HQ in Korea and manage the IT team on the ground here in Amsterdam. 

 

Basic Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Amsterdam studio and manage the operations/infrastructure on site.
  • Be the main contact and manage hardware and software
  • Troubleshoot and provide technical support for the team for both hardware and software (Including perforce, Jira, Slack, Outlook, etc.)
  • Proactively work with HQ IT departments to obtain correct licenses for software
  • Manage all storage, servers, networking equipment, telecommunications, cooling, power, and redundant power at all Amsterdam locations
  • Establish and enforce policy and procedures for procurement requests
  • Establish and enforce security baselines for user behavior and equipment use
  • Keep all documentation for systems up to date
  • Maintain critical documentation on all events and incidents
  • Be the main contact for all IT related questions pertaining to services provided by HQ
  • Occasionally you may be expected after hours for critical infrastructure
  • Be the main contact/project manager for office space expansion, including making sure the workstations are set up for success, managing contractors when needed, making sure everything is installed correctly
  • Order the workstations and set up machines, including Windows domain setup, VPN setup, disk imaging for standard programs
  • Manage the daily in/out tasks at the office
  • Manage IT team meetings and documentation to be shared with management staff weekly

 

We are ideally looking for:

  • Talented troubleshooter with experience administering a Windows user environment
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux systems including the cloud such as AWS and Azure
  • Experience with networking (e.g. packet analysis, routing protocols) and network setup and monitoring including firewall and VPN configuration
  • Some experience with programming and/or scripting language (e.g. Go, Python, Java, Ruby, Rust)
  • Knowledge of Source Control Management systems like Git and Perforce
  • Enterprise and domain-based PC Management
  • Experience with NAS such as Synology
  • Strong communication skills and level head under pressure
  • Capable of installing and managing different PCs, equipment, etc.

 

Desirable traits: 

  • Experience working in an international environment reporting to an off-site HQ; ideally in Asia
  • Korean language proficiency
  • Interest in video games and the gaming industry

Also, nearby is one of the main public transportation hubs – Amsterdam Zuid train, metro, tram & bus station, bringing the city’s highlights close, be it one of the many museums, canals, parks, or culinary experiences you are interested in.

Likewise, our Amsterdam team reflects the city’s diverse atmosphere – being mainly expats, we currently represent more than 40 different nationalities, and we are still expanding our team!
