About the role:
The Internal Control Analyst is responsible for testing and data analysis , overseeing the testing of all internal controls within Nu México. The role emphasizes leveraging database availability through data mining and analysis. Additionally, this position will be in charge of ethics investigations involving gathering evidence, reviewing documentation, and analyzing data to assess adherence to ethical standards and company policies.
Typical responsibilities assigned to you might include:
- Defining and updating the Internal Control policies and procedures.
- Defining and conducting the Control Testing program focus on the most critical risks.
- Identifying sources of information as well as performing data mining and data analysis of information to:

- Perform periodic substantive control testing.
- Creating and periodically determining the Key Risk Indicators for the most critical risks.
- Conducting an annual program to validate the regulatory policies in order to ensure full compliance with the SOFIPOS’s regulation.
- Conducting ethics investigations entail collecting evidence, scrutinizing documents, and analyzing data to verify compliance with ethical standards and company policies.
Basic Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Control Testing and Monitorings throughout substantive testings and Key Risk Indicators (KRI´s).
- Knowledge of data mining and data analysis using SQL, ACL, BI, etc.
- At least 5 years of experience.
- General knowledge of Operational Risk & Internal Control model.
- General knowledge of Mexican Regulation
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Good analytical and communication skills.
- Bachelor degree from a related discipline.
