Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund supplies 1 million smallholder farmers with the agricultural services they need to make their farms vastly more productive. Our 8,000+ team is drawn from diverse backgrounds and professions. With operations across six core countries in Africa, we make farmers more prosperous by providing quality farm supplies on credit, delivered within walking distance of farmers’ homes, and agricultural training to improve harvests. On average, the farmers we serve harvest 50 percent more food after working with One Acre Fund.

About the Role

We are looking for a professional with 2+ years of work experience to join the IT Networks in Rwanda. You will provide Networks services in the Infrastructure team in Rwanda. You will offer first line service on Network management and work with other Tech teams to ensure seamless technology operations for staff and offices. You will report to the Networks Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Manage LAN and WAN Network devices
  • Implement approved Network changes following applicable procedures
  • Analyze and diagnose network problems for a variety of users
  • Recommend corrective solutions to be applied to network hardware or software
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks.
  • In congestion with the service desk helps in troubleshooting problems that require packet analysis or performance review.
  • Maintain up to date and accurate Network documentation.

Qualifications

Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:

  • Previous working experience as a Networks Technician for 2years
  • BSc degree in Computer Science or similar relevant field.
  • Certification in CCNA and ITIL Foundation is desirable.
  • In depth knowledge of WAN, LAN, TCP/IP, Firewalls, Routers, Switches and troubleshooting these devices
  • Hands-on experience with PC/server hardware, PBX devices and other peripherals.
  • Experience in Network monitoring such as Zabbix and PRTG.
