Product Tester - Running Shoes

We started with televisions, and we are now expanding into new product categories. We are currently looking to hire a Product Tester - Running Shoes to join our team.  

• Do you obsess over the comparative performance of consumer products and often care about the performance more than using the product itself?
• Do you collect a variety of different versions of the same equipment type (golf clubs, running shoes, hockey sticks, etc.) to compare their unique performance benefits in real-life situations?
• Are you a sales representative who goes beyond your peers in helping customers and understanding the product, including diving deep into understanding the technologies and comparing performance?

Responsibilities  

• Play with and test new consumer products by following the written procedures 
• Understand the consumer products from a user's perspective and make sure all relevant features are tested, even those not covered by the written procedures 
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues with the performance of consumer products 
• Analyze and compare data and test results to verify quality, spot potential issues or mistakes, and extrapolate the impact of results on real-world usage
• Record test results and maintain detailed documentation
• Re-check specific results and product performance when methodology is updated or to answer user questions
• Other duties as assigned

• You love doing research, analyzing data, and comparing products. You typically spend weeks researching before buying something
• You like helping people. The whole purpose of our website is to help people find the best product for them
• You like learning new things. Even if you become an expert, you will never know everything. There will always be new technology
• You are methodical
• You love to run and understand the performance aspects of athletic footwear

Qualification/Experience  

• Good English communication skills
• Experience selecting running equipment for yourself or others and/or active participation in running events are great assets
• Interest in running a great asset (ex. marathons, Iron Man, etc.)
• It is a bonus to have experience in a materials-related field
• It is a bonus to have a technical background with a DEP/DEC in exercise science (such as kinesiology)
