Group Consolidation & Reporting Senior Manager

The Role…

The Group Consolidation & Reporting Senior Manager sits in our growing Group Reporting team, reports into the Head of Group Reporting and Accounting for Soho House & Co Inc. (NYSE listed). This role is responsible for co-ordinating and assisting in the Monthly and Quarterly closing procedures under UK GAAP and the US GAAP external Quarterly and Annual reporting process. It will also assist the Group Reporting team in ad-hoc accounting queries.

This role will assist in the development of our Global Finance team in the UK, Europe, Asia and North America through driving process improvements, training, and developing/updating Group Accounting Policies. This is a key role to allow us to deliver a robust and accurate quarterly/annual US GAAP reporting.

The role provides excellent exposure across the business to different finance teams and group functions (including the legal, commercial and development teams) with opportunities to further grow and develop your career in finance in a fast paced and growing company.

Main Duties…

  • Prepare the monthly and quarterly consolidation process;
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly adjusting journal entries;
  • Prepare additional quarterly reporting schedules such as the joint-venture reporting and segmental reporting;
  • Assist in the US GAAP SEC reporting process;
  • Provide audit requests, answer queries from external auditors and assist in managing the external auditor’s relationship;
  • Lead on the implementation of new tools (such as consolidation system) and workstream to improve the reporting process.
  • Special projects as needed including assisting in accounting queries analysis, drafting of Accounting policies and preparing accounting papers for Group Reporting sign-off and external auditors review.

What We Are Looking For…

  • You will likely be ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with 5+ years of experience of working in a similar group reporting role within a fast-paced multi-site business;
  • Experience of preparing a consolidation process is essential;
  • Experience of working in a multi-GAAP environment with specific US GAAP and listed company experience desirable;
  • System implementation experience desirable but not essential;
  • You will need to be confident in dealing with senior individuals in the organisation; and
  • The successfully candidate will be a committed, team player who is able to roll up their sleeves with a proven ability to deliver to demanding deadlines with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with advanced ability to interpret and present findings clearly and succinctly.
