Regional CWH Membership Manager - Birmingham, Leeds & Bristol

*This role can be based in either Birmingham or London*

The Role…

The Regional Membership Manager is the driving force behind creating and curating membership communities for Cities Without Houses (CWH) across 3 cities; Birmingham, Leeds, and Bristol.

They are responsible for recruiting and retaining CWH members across multiple cities, overseeing all aspects of member experiences, from events to communications. As the direct link between members and the business, the Regional Membership Manager acts as a voice for our members, building relationships and understanding their needs. They manage recruitment, retention, member inquiries, and ensure a consistently high-quality experience.

Reporting to the Head of Membership, the Regional Membership Manager ensures targets are met and the member experience is top-notch. Collaborating with peers in events and content, they deliver an unforgettable experience for all CWH members.

 

Main Duties…

  • Recruitment & Retention - Drive regional membership recruitment through personal contacts in the creative industries, working towards quarterly member targets for CWH members.
  • Committees - Build, grow, and motivate Membership Committees in allocated cities, ensuring diversity and reflecting the local culture.
  • Experiences & Events - Create and host engaging events for CWH members, promoting member engagement and the Soho House experience.
  • Communication - Execute a communications plan, delivering relevant and regular content to members in the region.
  • Soho House Magic - Collaborate with membership leaders and committee members to recruit high-profile members.
  • Liaisons - Recruit and manage liaisons in cities, setting objectives and managing performance.
  • Local Outreach - Network and engage with local individuals, connectors, and creatives to build brand awareness and attract new members.
  • Local Intel - Gather information on the creative industries, population, trends, and challenges in the region.
  • Travel - Flexibility to travel frequently around your region, as well as working late nights and weekends as and when required.

 

What We Are Looking For…

  • Network - the ideal candidate has contacts in creative industries in Birmingham, Bristol, and Leeds.
  • Communication skills - Excellent written skills, experience in writing marketing emails, event copy, press releases, and emotionally intelligent verbal communication skills.
  • Personality - Charismatic, confident, and creative with a passion for fashion, art, music, and film. Natural networker.
  • Motivation - Self-motivated and independent in getting things done.
  • Organisation - Highly organized with the ability to manage a complex workload and team, prioritize successfully, and pay attention to detail.
  • Events - Bonus if experienced in programming and/or producing events.
  • Diversity & Inclusion - Well-travelled with an educated worldview, appreciation for different cultures, politics, creative groups, and social scenes. Passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion.
  • Systems & software - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, Trello, and other systems.
