PlayStation Studios Finance team is looking for a Finance Transformation Management Consultant to support the definition, implementation and execution of operational improvements and technology solutions in the area of financial planning and analysis.

The ideal candidate will bring consulting experience, and a passion for managing enterprise-level organizational change, business readiness, partner engagement, communications and training activities, as well as broad financial knowledge and expertise in related technology.

Acting as a program manager, responsible for the success of the transformation program from beginning to end, you will work closely with partners to identify current gaps and opportunities for improvement. This person will lead the design of efficient and effective work processes and technology, be a key member in the strategic and tactical activities involved in their implementation, responsible for leading change management and delivering the program goals.

With excellent quantitative and qualitative skills, you will connect with both technical and non-technical audiences to plan and organize while working in both autonomously and in a team setting. The Finance Transformation Management Consultant position can be remote or based out of our San Mateo, CA or San Diego, CA offices.

Your responsibilities will include:

Process Improvement

  • Identify, define and implement innovative solutions to sophisticated business problems and/or operational issues.
  • Examine processes to understand impact to people, strategy, systems and general business operations. Facilitate discussions surrounding gaps and recommend actions for improvement of new or existing business processes. Develop a road map for implementation.
  • Provide best-in-practice ideas for financial planning, data governance, modeling and related processes. Engage in industry research and benchmarking regarding new technology and solutions.

Program Management

  • Effectively plan, implement, and deliver a transformational program or large implementation on-time and on-budget. Act as a solution architect for technology solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong command of program status and understanding of actions required to drive plan to successful completion. Accelerate the realization of desired outcomes.
  • Manage program governance. Define roles, responsibilities, decision-making authority, and policies.
  • Monitor, track and report progress and status of deliverables and activities. Identify financial and KPI accountability.
  • Develop effective communication and training plans while working closely and collaboratively with multiple departments and external partners.

Change Management

  • Diagnose, design, implement, and assess change management strategies and plans in support of overall initiatives of development/transformation and/or technology implementation.
  • Identify, analyze, and, where appropriate, manage risks, issues, dependencies, partner concerns and change resistance. Lead and influence teams in a sophisticated organization. Partner management.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Program Management or Consulting, with proven success in transformation-oriented or strategic cross-functional projects and developing and implementing new business processes.
  • Technical expertise. Experience in large systems implementation projects. Ability to act as solution architect for multiple technologies.
  • Experience and proficiency in best practices related to Financial planning or related. Direct work experience in Finance a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in driving positive and sustained change. Capability to lead and influence teams in a complex organization.
  • Proven track record to think strategically and analytically and to creatively problem solve. Strong capability to diagnose existing issues and consider when designing solutions.
  • Experience in global companies or international projects is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.

Please note that the individual base pay range may vary based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
