About the role:
As our Senior Compliance Manager you’ll be working within our compliance team, the role is an internal and external point of contact for all enquiries around our contingent workforce compliance with focus on Independent Contractor (IC) classification.
You will help develop our understanding of the UK legal and compliance landscape to operationalise it into our product experience. This will require to advise a wide range of teams and educate internal and external stakeholder, where necessary translating it into requirements for the Product team. Exposure and understanding of global contingent workforce environment would be a great advantage.
- Responsible for oversight of company obligations and processes on UK Independent Contractors engagement
- Maintain UK policies and compliance framework in line with new or evolving labour, immigration and Independent Contractor laws
- Responsible to provide guidance on UK contingent workforce compliance and risk across the organisation
- Deep understanding of UK independent Contractor regulations in particular IR35 and SDC (Supervision, Direction and Control)
- Responsible for reviewing and supporting with SDS (Status Determination Statements) and SDC (Supervision, Direction and Control) assessments
- Primary point of contract for UK contingent labour questions
- Support reviewing and approving global business structure document
- Serve as point of contact for Client and Independent Contractor disputes
- Translate compliance Independent Contractor classification requirements into Product team understandable requirements
- Work closely with the Product team to ensure all relevant projects continuously align with their respective compliance rules
- Support Sales and Account Management client meeting as the compliance solutions subject matter expert
- Support Account Management with client training and education of compliance frameworks and guidelines
Requirements:
- Proficient understanding and/or experience in the UK contingent workforce space.
- Familiarity with global payroll and its application in the Independent Contractor domain.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Strong active listening abilities.
- Outstanding analytical skills.
- Demonstrated collaboration skills with a bias for action.
- Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders across diverse disciplines.
- Possesses an agile mindset.
- Expertise in project management and consulting principles.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and deliver results with minimal supervision.
- Legal and/or compliance background/experience is a valuable asset.
